Cosplay Lolita vs. Theme Lolita.

I found myself talking about this a lot due to recent conversations that have come up on Rufflechat and among friends. What are the differences between cosplay lolita and a themed lolita coordinate? Are there even any to begin with? And finally, are the official collaborations between Japanese brands and anime series evidence that cosplay lolita is very much a thing?

This is purely an opinion piece, and I can't guarantee that everyone would agree with me, nor can I urge you to subscribe to what I believe, but I thought it would make for an interesting discussion!

Fairytale Boutique Events!

I visited Fairytale Boutique very briefly in March, but I was with a colleague from law school, so I kind of bolted out of there before I could spend too much time in there. I'm really happy I was able to return not once, but TWICE this summer! The first one was Fairytale Boutique's Second Anniversary Event, and the second event was their Third Harajuku Fashion Walk!

Lolita Blog Carnival #10: DIY Gift Ideas

I'm super thrilled about this blog topic considering the holiday season is coming up and I have been unseasonably excited for gift-giving this year, so I'm going to jump right into this topic!

Buying gifts for a lolita can be really straining on the budget because even the simplest items can be over 60 USD! So what do you do when you really want to get something memorable but just don't have the money yourself? Make a crafting day out of it! I don't think there's a single person who won't appreciate a well-made handmade gift, and you don't need to be the most skilled seamstress in the world to make any of these gifts either!

魔法少女 Crafts and Purchases! + KumaCrafts Review!

Please Hype on LookBook if you like what you see!

Even though I've been trying to get into more adult type of styles, it looks like I always revert to a super cute, pastel-filled look when it comes to my purchases and what I like to decorate. I guess at the age that I'm at, I really enjoy reminiscing about the things I liked when I was a child, and that's why KumaCrafts was wonderful for making her Sailor Moon compact necklaces!! They are absolutely gorgeous~
